It’s official! Nissan LEAF has been awarded the prestigious 2011 World Car of the Year award. It’s another milestone for the LEAF, which jurors described as “the gateway to a brave new electric world.” World Car of the Year is an incredibly tough competition, judged by some of the toughest critics you can imagine, with a jury composed of 66 top-level automotive journalists from 24 countries around the world. And there can only be one winner! Naturally everyone is Nissan is delighted by the award, but we think it’s also an award for everyone who believes in zero-emission mobility.
