We love cars and we love the environment. Through advanced engineering, we believe that a symbiosis of people, vehicles and nature is achievable to sustain a mobile society now and in the future. Nissan Green Program 2010 was our starting point to making this happen. The next step to achieving this goal is Nissan Green Program 2016 which will continue to minimize our carbon footprint by developing & promoting green technologies and contributing to a sustainable mobile society.

Zero-Emission Vehicles

We don’t like to follow; Nissan aims to be a leader in the field of zero-emission vehicles. The introduction of the Nissan LEAF is the first step in building a zero-emission society.

Increasing Fuel Efficiency

We are working to reduce emissions across the Nissan range with the wider application of fuel efficient vehicles. Across the Nissan range we aim to achieve a 35% improvement in fuel efficiency compared to the 2005 level.

Minimize our Carbon Footprint

We recognize the importance of reducing our carbon footprint throughout our corporate activities. Globally activities are under way to reduce CO₂ emissions within all levels of the supply chain including production sites & office locations. Our aim is to reduce CO₂ per vehicle by 20% compared to the 2005 level.

Increased use of Recycled materials

Our resources won't last forever. This is why we aim to minimize our new natural resource usage. We continue to reduce waste during production and are looking for ways to increase the amount of recycled material incorporated into new vehicles.
