SPORTS CARS : The Freeride World Tour Final

Chamonix – the world’s most renowned alpine resort. A Mecca for freeriders.

St Moritz – our first foray in the stunning Engadin valley made for breath-taking terrain.

Kirkwood – former host of the Freeride World Qualifiers. The US’s hub for big mountain skiing.

Sochi – host to 2014 Winter Olympics.  Snow like nowhere else in the world.

Fieberbrunn – fast becoming known as the ‘Best Freeriding in Austria’. Undeniably progressive.

During the qualifying stages, the Freeride World Tour, co-founded by Nissan, has visited some of the world’s most extreme snowsport locations. That’s why the season final of the Tour needed to go that extra step. Cue a grand finale at Switzerland’s Bec de Rosses in Verbier, the Nissan Xtreme Verbier by Swatch – one of the most challenging competitions on the slopes.

7000 spectators gathered at the bottom of a dauntingly steep, frighteningly jagged 500-metre rock face, to see the best riders in the world take part in a truly ground-breaking, breath-taking event.

The jumps, the control, the fluidity – the choice of lines. All exquisite. However one rider stood out and was unanimously voted winner of the competition making Nissan athlete Aurelien Ducroz the overall winner of the tour for the second time. Other Nissan rider, Xavier de le Rue won the snowboard category at Verbier with the best line of the tour and finished 3rd overall in the tour. All of the Freeride champions received a brand new NISSAN JUKE. Find out where they place by visiting www.Freerideworldtour.com

Special mention to Marja Persson who is recovering well after her accident in the American leg of the tour.
