CROSSOVERS : Juke fans get behind the hit
We invited Juke fans to participate in a ground-breaking music collaboration with La Roux to unearth new music talent and find a feel-good beat that would get people in the mood for a big night out. You blew us away with your creative flair and electric mixes – but there could be only one winner, and this was Ben Daniels.
Ben’s mix, ‘Helly’ – created with our online ‘Behind the Hit’ mixing board – was voted top track by Juke fans, winning Ben a trip to professionally produce ‘Helly’ with La Roux in a state of the art studio. The stunning results were then played out by La Roux on 5th April 2011 at London’s Koko – kicking off their headlining DJ set and whipping up a packed crowd.
The evening was electric as people danced the night away to performances by Delphic, The Naked and Famous, and Pony Pony Run Run. But it wasn’t just the 1,406 lucky gigsters at Koko who enjoyed the event – as it was the first ever gig streamed live on Spotify, another 7,801 got to watch the gig in their own home!
